The Brown County Fairgrounds, outside of Green Bay, offers limited facilities and is underused by the community. The Rettler Corporation was leading a masterplanning effort for the county that would identify physical opportunities for improvements, and Stone Planning was hired to inform the masterplan with a market and financial feasibility study and economic impact analysis.

Our study included an analysis of the local market, past and ongoing Fairgrounds operations, the inventory and characteristics of existing local facilities and other county fairgrounds throughout Wisconsin, as well as comparable facilities across the country. We interviewed a wide range of stakeholders, including local officials, industry and event representatives, and others, and reviewed management options for the County. Based on the market analyses, we provided physical recommendations for improvements, as well as forecasts of future operations and economic impacts. The County is using the results of the study and masterplan to continue to strategize regarding the complex’s future.
