Stone Planning and The Rooney Sports and Entertainment Group have been hired by The Penn Film Group to assist in the planning of improvements to the historic Heinz Hall. The Penn Film Group, which specializes in the development, production, and marketing of feature films, plans to utilize space within the theater as a sound studio and for scoring, production, and other uses, as well as an event venue. Heinz Hall, the home of the Pittsburgh Symphony, opened in 1927 and has approximately 2,700 seats.
