Stone Planning has been hired by the City of West Fargo (ND), the Red River Valley Fair Association, and the Fargo-Moorhead West Fargo Convention & Visitors Bureau to complete a feasibility and economic impact study for a new events center at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. The study will include an analysis of the local market and its visitor infrastructure, analysis of existing local/regional facilities and comparable facilities in other markets, interviews with local stakeholders, and facility recommendations regarding square footage and type of spaces, the need for additional development such as hotel rooms, and others. Should the facility be deemed viable based on market factors, we will then forecast its future operations (events and attendance, revenues and expenses) and economic impacts.
