Stone Planning to Assist in Planning Efforts for New Los Angeles Clippers Arena

Stone Planning has been hired by the City of Inglewood, California to provide analyses that will aid in the completion of the Inglewood Basketball and Entertainment Center’s environmental impact report, to be completed by Environmental Science Associates of Sacramento. The arena is planned to open in 2024 as the new home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. Our work will ultimately assess the share of arena usage that will be new to the market (compared to transferred from existing venues in the Los Angeles metro area), which will help to drive estimates of the facility’s incremental environmental impacts. In order to prepare these estimates, we will provide a competitive analysis of the current sports and entertainment facility and events market, interview stakeholders such as event promoters and facility operators, provide case-study analysis of other markets with similar dynamics, and review arena usage estimates prepared by the Clippers.
