Stone Planning, The Rooney Sports and Entertainment Group, and Nielsen have been hired by Venture Realty Group and the Virginia Beach Economic Development Authority to provide a feasibility study for a multipurpose indoor music club/entertainment venue as part of a mixed-use development on the former site of the historic Virginia Beach Civic Center (also known as the Dome), which was demolished in 1994. The venue, which includes Virginia Beach native and ten-time Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams as a partner, is expected to have a capacity of approximately 3,500 to 4,000. Our team is also analyzing the feasibility of a surf park as part of the development, which will also include retail, residential, restaurant, and office uses.
